SFMA - Selective Functional Movement Assessment
The SFMA is the movement based diagnostic system, designed to clinically assess 7 fundamental movement patterns in those with known musculoskeletal pain. This assessment provides an efficient method to systematically find the cause of symptoms, not just the source, by breaking down dysfunctional patterns and diagnosing their cause as either a mobility problem or a stability motor control problem. In my 29 plus years in this field I have studied many forms of Manual Therapy. These advanced techniques include study with Tom Hendrickson and James Waslaski to name just 2. These amazing techniques coupled with the SFMA are a dynamic and effective alternative to traditional therapies. When coming in for a session please dress in comfortable cloths that allow freedom of movement. Athletic cloths are best. Something one might wear to workout in a gym. For most treatment you will be fully clothed. Modest draping will be required for some massage techniques and cupping. |
